00:36 Seroster Fuck yeah I want one

00:38 Monkeh|Lap Anyone know any decent suppliers (UK only, thank you, unless you're willing to post on to me for free) of stackable banana plugs which don't suck immensely?
00:38 Monkeh|Lap Other than the £3.50 a piece Pomona ones, which I would love..
00:39 Seroster Err
00:39 Seroster Elfa?
00:39 Monkeh|Lap Elfa are not a UK company.
00:40 Seroster But I assume they ship to the uk?
00:40 Seroster SparkyProjects! You there man?
00:40 Monkeh|Lap And oh god their site makes me angry in the extreme.
00:40 SparkyProjects yep
00:41 Monkeh|Lap I do not appreciate sites which do not let me open tabs during searches.
00:41 Seroster Decent banana plug supplier in the UK?
00:41 Seroster That kinda annoys me too, monkeh, but they got nice shit.
00:41 SparkyProjects I generally use RS or CPC/Farnell, not sure about Maplin
00:42 Monkeh|Lap RS or Farnell are too pricy, Maplin can get fucked even if they do carry what I want
00:42 Monkeh|Lap (by pricy I mean: Farnell have a £20 minimum order, CPC and RS (and Rapid) will cost £5 in shipping alone)
00:43 Seroster Swedol?
00:43 Seroster http://www.swedol.se/en/
00:43 BotSteve Title: SWEDOL
00:43 Monkeh|Lap And Elfa's site just fell over on me, great
00:43 Monkeh|Lap No business for Elfa.
00:44 SparkyProjects We used to have several electronic shops in the UK, but most have closed
00:44 SparkyProjects I use RS or Farnell for online orders because i trust them with my card details
00:44 Monkeh|Lap I like Bitsbox, but their range is limited.
00:44 Monkeh|Lap (they don't keep stacking bananas.. they do, however, keep worthwhile normal banana plugs which don't cost a bomb)

00:45 SparkyProjects If i had the capital, i would like to open an electronics store, backed up with a hackerspace
00:46 Monkeh|Lap As would I.
00:46 Seroster Throw surplus and tool rental in the mix and we can talk

01:32 HighMan SparkyProjects, Sawstop
01:32 SparkyProjects Yeah, and i don't like it
01:33 HighMan Destroys the saw?
01:34 y007ghg7_ joined ##thegeekgroup
01:35 SparkyProjects 1. destrots the saw blade (and causes unnessecary strain on the bearings/motor)
01:35 SparkyProjects 2. i sometimes cut aluminium on my saw, you can disable the stop mech for that, which makes it as dangerous as before
01:35 SparkyProjects 3. you get to rely on an automatic system that could fail at the wrong time
01:36 HighMan I got 2 and 3, but One... What's worse a lost finger or sawblade?
01:38 SparkyProjects People can trigger the stop for 'fun', that gets expensive
01:38 SparkyProjects If you have a safe method of work, you shouldn't have a problem
01:38 SparkyProjects My mistake was my own fault :P
01:38 HighMan xD :P
01:39 SparkyProjects I don'y know if the system will trigger with damp wood, like if the wood was carried through rain from storage to saw
01:40 masterofmonks Also to add to that, for the same price you can buy a much higher quality saw and put jigs on it that virtually eliminate the risk.
01:40 HighMan ~2k saw... A false trigger and that's a huge loss
01:41 SparkyProjects I've used handheld circular saws since the age of 16, and table saws since the age of about 21, first accident was at the age of about 55
01:43 SparkyProjects When the stop triggers, you have to get a new blade and another aluminium  block (part of the stop system), not the whole saw
01:43 SparkyProjects But it means that saw is out of action till fixed, that's loss of income
01:43 SparkyProjects also, knowing some of the contractors i've met, they would remove the stop block and use it without the safety
01:44 SparkyProjects Which means that someone else who thinks the safety is working, won't know
01:44 masterofmonks Not to mention, that can't be good for the motor.
01:44 SparkyProjects Exactly (as noted in 2 above ^
01:44 HighMan What if the stop stops the blade and the motor stilll goes?
01:45 SparkyProjects *1
01:45 Monkeh|Lap HighMan: It wouldn't.
01:45 HighMan Ah ok
01:46 SparkyProjects Some are belt driven, the belt would slip and burn
01:46 SparkyProjects Others are direct drive, moroe would get hot
01:46 SparkyProjects but saw stop is linked to the motor to turn it off when triggered
01:46 masterofmonks Unless that fails.
01:46 Monkeh|Lap For starters, I'm pretty sure the sawstop system actually cuts motor power automatically. If it didn't, the overload would trigger a fuse or breaker in the saw and it'd stop.
01:46 SparkyProjects yep
01:47 SparkyProjects you're relying on electronics
01:47 Monkeh|Lap Relying on several stages of electronics :P
01:47 Monkeh|Lap I'd be surprised if any good motor lacked a thermal switch, too.
01:47 SparkyProjects Just a sensing circuit and a solenoid essentially
01:48 Monkeh|Lap Sawstop's a good system to reduce the chance of accidents in certain situations
01:48 SparkyProjects Reduction of accidents is down to operator training
01:48 Monkeh|Lap But if you use a table saw regularly, you shouldn't need it.
01:49 Monkeh|Lap SparkyProjects: Yes, now consider the process of operator training and the chances of an accident when teaching, say, teenagers to use them.
01:49 Monkeh|Lap It looks much better on the paperwork if you've got Sawstop saws.
01:49 SparkyProjects Bad people will always find a way aeound safety systems, that's when things go wrong
01:50 masterofmonks Until the additional cost of operation causes cuts in training.
01:50 Monkeh|Lap masterofmonks: Training doesn't even _exist_ in schools over here any more because of people going 'oooh, what if they cut their finger off?'
01:51 HighMan Have a pack of 12 of Liquid Bandages.
01:51 SparkyProjects I've taught my grandchildren how to use my table saw and chop saw safely, and my grandson how to use a 9 inch angle grinder, not a problem
01:51 Monkeh|Lap I wouldn't bother with a Sawstop for my own use
01:51 Monkeh|Lap I don't need it and I don't need the expense
01:51 masterofmonks Monkeh|Lap, You know every country has it's problems. But yours has some rather strange ones...
01:51 Monkeh|Lap masterofmonks: Yes, we call it health and safety.
01:51 HighMan OSHA!
01:51 Monkeh|Lap HighMan: Worse.
01:51 HighMan xD
01:51 Monkeh|Lap SparkyProjects: Yeah, but things can change a bit when there are more people around.
01:51 masterofmonks "OMG he has a knife over 3 inches long he's going to go on a murder spree!!!!"
01:52 HighMan ...
01:52 SparkyProjects Nothing to do with H&S, it's the teachers that are afraid of filling out paperwork :P
01:52 Monkeh|Lap masterofmonks: Yes, that particular law I tend to ignore.
01:52 Monkeh|Lap Along with their interpretation of locking knives as fixed.
01:52 Monkeh|Lap (stupid interpretation)
01:53 SparkyProjects HSE actually encourages children to be put in those situations to get experience
01:54 Monkeh|Lap Never seen that happen.
01:54 masterofmonks Then again, I don't really care if my crazy neighbor (and I do have a crazy neighbor) has a surface to air missle. Just so long as I get one too.
01:54 SparkyProjects You won't while others remain afraid
01:55 HighMan masterofmonks, Doesn't your neighbor... Have a canon o_o
01:55 Monkeh|Lap I know people who own cannons.
01:55 Monkeh|Lap On shotgun licenses.
01:55 SparkyProjects with H&S it's a simple matter of writing down what you will do to protect yourself and others so there's a paper trail if things go wrong
01:55 masterofmonks HighMan, Actuall it turns out it was a moron with a mason jar full of gasoline.
01:55 HighMan And he lit it?...
01:55 Monkeh|Lap masterofmonks: Mmm, fire.
01:56 masterofmonks HighMan, No, he threw it into a fire.
01:56 HighMan Derp.

01:56 SparkyProjects It's one reason i left my last job, they were going over the top with H&S, but bosses were ignoring what they told us to do
01:56 Monkeh|Lap Yes, the H&S stuff drives me mad.
01:57 SparkyProjects "I am the God of hell fire !! "
01:57 Monkeh|Lap SparkyProjects: :D
01:57 masterofmonks And I bring you!

02:08 Monkeh|Lap No, it got crazy the moment you arrived. :P
02:08 HighMan This isn't /that/ party.... I guess my clothes will be put back on...
02:08 SparkyProjects At work we didn't rate masterplug very highly anyway
02:09 Monkeh|Lap They used to be decent at least
02:09 Katemonster now that this is an unofficial channel we don't need a separate NSFW room, right?  i can make fun of Hy for his username now?
02:09 HighMan Hy, The man of action.
02:09 Monkeh|Lap Hard to find a trailing socket these days anyway, the concept of making your own seems too hard for people.
02:09 SparkyProjects Most of our extensions were made to order from good plugs and sockets, and the correct length of cable for the job
02:09 HighMan Thanks monks for that :P
02:09 masterofmonks HighMan, if you are going to do it, do it right.
02:10 Monkeh|Lap SparkyProjects: Yeah, this was making my own.
02:10 HighMan ...
02:10 masterofmonks Hy, is a man of action.
02:10 HighMan Thankyou :P
02:11 Monkeh|Lap (which of course had to get run through a PAT machine by some semi-trained goon to be considered safe to use..)
02:11 Monkeh|Lap Really don't need some overpaid git with a glorified continuity tester to tell me my work is safe.
02:13 SparkyProjects We used to get JoJo cable reels, the small plastic ones were robust and had thicker cable than most others, they were properly rated
02:13 SparkyProjects and open RS empty metal reels for longer runs
02:15 Monkeh|Lap SparkyProjects: The 15m extension reels with 1mm cable annoy me :/
02:15 SparkyProjects Me too
02:15 Monkeh|Lap Also annoying, the standard BS1363 equipped extension reels.. with YELLOW flex!
02:15 SparkyProjects Especially as they are rated for 5 amps, but got misused on 10 amps or more
02:16 Monkeh|Lap Well, they can take 10A.. but they fall out of volt drop specs.
02:17 SparkyProjects Ever seen a partly rolled up reel with melted flex on it ? :D

02:17 LemLap just to make you a little jealous
02:17 Monkeh|Lap SparkyProjects: Yep, that always amuses me.
02:17 Monkeh|Lap Equally amusing is people saying 'you should uncoil that' when I'm using it to run my sander or something
02:17 SparkyProjects "bur ir's rated for 10 amps, and i only used it for a drill"
02:18 Monkeh|Lap As if my 150W sander is a massive issue
02:18 Monkeh|Lap Now, when the circular saw comes out.. you can bet it gets rolled out properly.
02:18 LemLap if that sander fails short circuit it will be!
02:18 Monkeh|Lap LemLap: The fuse will go pretty damn sharpish.
02:19 Monkeh|Lap Actually, the breaker will go really, really fast.
02:19 Monkeh|Lap My shed's on a B10. It doesn't take much to trip it.
02:19 SparkyProjects Monkeh, foreigners forget we have fuses in our plugs :D
02:19 Monkeh|Lap Indeed
02:19 LemLap no, I'm well aware you guys have them
02:19 Monkeh|Lap I really need to get a C10 out there, or maybe just put a B16 in.
02:20 LemLap but if it's not enough current to pop that fuse you will be in trouble
02:20 LemLap we had one recently where a motor failed semi-short
02:20 Monkeh|Lap LemLap: If it's not enough to take out the B10, I'll notice the failure long before the coiled up extension poses a problem.
02:20 SparkyProjects Depends if someone put in the righr fuse, we normally have 3. 5. 10, and 13 amp fuses
02:21 Monkeh|Lap SparkyProjects: Heh, 'right' fuse. Technically it's only there for the flex, and only 3A and 13A are recommeded.
02:21 Monkeh|Lap Also easily available: 1A, 2A, 7A, at least.
02:21 LemLap all our cords, outlets, plugs and sockets here are rated for 10A, powerboards have 10A breakers on them, but the house breakers are normally 20A per circuit
02:22 Monkeh|Lap Realistically BS1363 is only good for 10A
02:22 SparkyProjects You can get pretty much any value to fit the plug, right down to the low mA, but not generally available to the public
02:23 LemLap so if it's anything over 12 Ohm, and it's straight into the wall outlet, chances are the breaker WON'T trip, but the cord will get rather warm
02:23 Monkeh|Lap LemLap: Ignore the rating, what's the conductor size?
02:23 LemLap normally, 1.0sqmm
02:24 Monkeh|Lap 20A will result in some hot and sticky PVC
02:24 Monkeh|Lap And that's about it
02:24 Monkeh|Lap Probably ruin your carpet.
02:24 LemLap I've melted a plug badly enough before that when I tried to pull it out of the socket the plug came away and the pins didn't...
02:24 SparkyProjects All my extensions are wired in 1.5sqmm
02:24 Monkeh|Lap And that's what we have fuses for
02:25 LemLap yeah
02:25 LemLap that was at a LAN though, not here
02:25 LemLap before we worked out the best way to distribute power in that building
02:27 Monkeh|Lap Well, everyone knows aussie plugs are shit. :P
02:28 LemLap eh, ours aren't stupidly huge (see chris's coments on the UK) plug, can't be plugged in backwards, and reasonably safe
02:28 masterofmonks http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gF4b_NPaVus
02:28 BotSteve Title: Re: pterrero [continuous] | Old Spice Mano a Mano - YouTube
02:28 Monkeh|Lap I think of all the various designs out there, CEE 7/7 is probably the best. Except I like the ease of rewiring and the fuse in BS1363.
02:28 LemLap the problem is more the habit of installing 20A breakers on a 10A rated circuit, not sure why sparkies are allowed to get with that >_<
02:28 Monkeh|Lap But yes, the size is a problem.
02:28 SparkyProjects You can't plug ours in reverse
02:29 LemLap oh, did you like the sun servers Monkeh?
02:29 Monkeh|Lap LemLap: Because a 10A circuit is pretty hopelessly small and you can be reasonably sure a single device won't pull more than that.
02:29 LemLap SparkyProjects, I know, but there are a lot out there that you can
02:29 Monkeh|Lap Which is why multiple outlet adapters should be fused
02:29 Monkeh|Lap LemLap: Meh, seen nicer. :P
02:29 LemLap we got them for free though :-P
02:29 SparkyProjects We didn't allow thos plug adaptors to be used on site if they didn't have a fuse
02:30 Monkeh|Lap You can't make more than two way without a fuse any more.
02:31 Monkeh|Lap I just ban their use unless I install them myself.
02:31 SparkyProjects But i bet there's still some chinese imports still coming in :P
02:31 Monkeh|Lap Oh, sure, lots of counterfeit crap
02:31 Monkeh|Lap Go find a cheap shop in london, you'll find hundreds
02:31 SparkyProjects We actually preferred people use the socket strips, or we would install an extra socket or 2
02:32 Monkeh|Lap Yup
02:32 Monkeh|Lap Of course, everyone goes 'oh, no, you can't use those, they're a fire risk!'
02:32 Monkeh|Lap I.. seriously have to restrain myself from stabbing these people.
02:32 SparkyProjects Most of our labs were wired in trunking, so was easy to clip in another socket and extend the wiring as needed
02:33 Monkeh|Lap Proper dado trunking is lovely stuff
02:33 Monkeh|Lap It's also so expensive it shouldn't be legal
02:33 LemLap ah, the one I love here is when people go "oh no, you can't plug a power board into another one, it'll cause a fire"
02:33 Monkeh|Lap LemLap: Yep, we get that. Except ours are _fused_.
02:33 LemLap yes... that's why EVERY FUCKING BOARD has a 10A breaker on it
02:34 LemLap ours are legally required to have a 10A breaker on them now Monkeh, even the cheap $2 ones do
02:34 Monkeh|Lap Nice.
02:34 Monkeh|Lap Ours have to have fuses in them by design (in the plug) ;)
02:34 Monkeh|Lap A lot actually have fuses in the strip itself
02:34 LemLap the 17 port power rail on the back of my desk has a 10A breaker AND an RCD in it now :-D
02:34 SparkyProjects We got some decent stuff from CEF, was only 1 inch deep, not too bad on price
02:34 SparkyProjects When we refurbished a lab, we installed that stuff all round even if it wasn't needed there
02:34 Monkeh|Lap Not sure why, because there's no discrimination
02:34 Monkeh|Lap You can very easily blow the plug fuse or both, rather than the one at the strip.
02:35 Monkeh|Lap (this is a concept many people have trouble with)
02:36 SparkyProjects I bypassed the strip fuse with a bit of 6 inch nail and glued the cover down, you onnly need the plug fuse (on one of my own strips, not at work)
02:36 Monkeh|Lap Aye
02:37 Monkeh|Lap That way you know only one can go.
02:37 Monkeh|Lap Ever seen people with crappy, hacked together installations go RCD hunting? :)
02:37 SparkyProjects Have done it myself :P
02:37 Monkeh|Lap Such fun isn't it?
02:37 Monkeh|Lap And they're not even predictable half the time
02:38 SparkyProjects On the farms there were buildings tacked onto buildings tacked onto buildingstacked onto buildings .....
02:38 Monkeh|Lap Yup
02:38 Monkeh|Lap I actually have the RCD chain thing going on here.
02:38 Monkeh|Lap RCD in CU. RCD FCU under kitchen worktop. RCD in shed.
02:39 Monkeh|Lap Thankfully, the RCD in the shed is so unspeakably sensitive it always manages to go first.
02:39 Monkeh|Lap One day I'll fix that.
02:39 SparkyProjects We rewired one installation so each building had a home run to the main switchroom
02:39 Monkeh|Lap About the same time I get a shed which isn't having leaks repaired every couple of months

02:43 Monkeh|Lap And the level of dumb just dropped dramatically.. :)
02:43 LemLap lol
02:44 SparkyProjects You could put the main part of the electrics in a weatherproof cabinet
02:44 Monkeh|Lap LemLap: ps. I need floppies.
02:44 LemLap there's a guy in one of the IRC channels I'm in
02:44 LemLap it's for a minecraft sever
02:44 Monkeh|Lap SparkyProjects: The CU is already IP55 iirc.
02:44 LemLap Monkeh PS, I threw ALL mine out a long LONG LONG time ago
02:44 Monkeh|Lap The leaks are structural problems rather than it raining indoors.
02:44 LemLap the only floppy related thing I have left is an 8" 120k disk
02:45 LemLap this guy though has been banned 3 times, jailed 7 times and just got permabanned
02:45 Monkeh|Lap Blah.
02:45 SparkyProjects The only floppies i have are for my BBC comp
02:45 Monkeh|Lap I've only got 5.
02:45 Monkeh|Lap I need more!
02:45 LemLap so he joins the IRC channel and is making out like he's never done anything wrong
02:45 Monkeh|Lap LemLap: Oh, I'm used to that sort of thing :P
02:46 LemLap then says in PM to one of the MC/IRC admins, "I'll give you half of what ever I steal if you unban me"
02:46 Monkeh|Lap *snort*
02:46 Monkeh|Lap I need more Sony floppy drives, too. Panasonic ones are bollocks.
02:47 tonsofpcs heh
02:49 Monkeh|Lap tonsofpcs: GIVE ME FLOPPIES.
02:49 tonsofpcs Monkeh|Lap: you're not getting my sony's sorry

11:27 einball lovely ...
11:27 einball nerve gas is more deadly than the atomic bomb XD
11:28 Thermoelectric It may be, but it isn't as widespread unless you have a lot of it...
11:29 einball 2 tons of VX distributed over NY or another big city would kill more than a atomic bomb. And 2 tons are easily distributed via a plane used for watering fields
11:29 einball hardcore ._.
11:29 Thermoelectric Mmm, that is true.
11:30 einball deployed very easily... and you may not even fire a single rocket!
11:30 Thermoelectric Would the concentration not deplete quickly as it is released from the plane?
11:33 einball 30µg is the LD100
11:33 einball (Lethal Dose <percentage>)
11:34 einball That's NOT EVEN the size of a raindrop.
11:35 einball that's about the size of a grain of sand.
11:36 Electricguy make gas from Botulinum toxin
11:36 Electricguy a volume of a shotglass of that crap can kill Sweden
11:37 einball yep. that's the same shit.
11:38 Electricguy and still it's injected into peoples faces..
11:38 einball As its liquid its not my problem :P
11:38 einball at least it will not vaporize
11:38 einball unlike VX
11:41 LemLap einball, vx is also a persistent toxin
11:41 LemLap so it coats everything, and just touching it a day/week/month later can be enough to get you a lethal dose
11:42 einball ABC weapons suck ._.
11:42 LemLap yes, yes they do
11:43 einball I "like" the old days when men killed men
11:43 LemLap but a lot of the technology for them has either come out of peace time research, or subsequently been used in peace time applications
11:44 einball isn't it the other way round?
11:44 LemLap ...?
11:44 einball war drives research
11:44 LemLap not always
11:44 LemLap there was a LOT of research into atomic energy and materials before it was turned to the atomic bomb race of WWII
11:45 einball hmm
11:45 LemLap Most chemical weapons are derivatives of peace time insecticides
11:46 einball Oh yes, that's right.
11:46 LemLap and biological weapons are the result of peace time research into diseases, but the techniques used to manipulate those diseases are then used in peace time to create vaccines and gene therapies for endemic diseases
11:49 LemLap so in response to the song "War, what is it good for", Quite a lot actually
11:50 einball yup
11:53 Monkeh|Lap Two 24x2 LCDs for £13. I am le happy.
11:53 Monkeh|Lap Decent ones, too.
11:55 Monkeh|Lap And now, for a drastic RAM upgrade.
11:56 einball Lets build an atomic bomb and nuke the world for goods \o/
11:57 einball And trigger the explosives with an arduino because we can
11:59 Thermoelectric But then you'll kill the poor arduino! What did it ever do to you?
12:00 einball nothing. It's a tool for world destruction
12:00 einball it always has been and always will be
12:01 Thermoelectric :( But it could have been somebody, it could have been a contender!
12:03 einball long wires :D
12:05 einball I like how anti aircraft tanks are fully automated
12:05 einball now the aircrafts tanks and other things have to get automated
12:06 einball an no humans will be killed :)

17:30 BotSteve At 05:43Z, Thermoelectric asked me to tell seroster Huh? What should I be doing in the coming say... fifteen years?
17:30 Seroster You active Thermoelectric?
17:30 Seroster BotSteve, tell Thermoelectric Start an electronics/surplus store and hackerspace with me and SparkyProjects. You can live in his basement, next to the rat poison =)
17:30 BotSteve Seroster: I'll pass that on when Thermoelectric is around.
17:33 SparkyProjects1 My basement is my kitchen/studio/workshop, below that is solid mountain :P
17:34 mashpriborintorg so you can dig and make one more basement floor,  free storage space :D
17:35 Seroster Sounds like fun
17:35 Seroster Is it waterlogged?
17:35 SparkyProjects1 Through granite ?
17:35 Seroster Yeah?
17:35 Seroster Builds character!
17:36 mashpriborintorg granite, the stuff for manly men to dig
17:36 SparkyProjects1 or C4
17:37 mashpriborintorg btw did you ever measure the background radioactivity level
17:37 SparkyProjects1 Nope
17:37 SparkyProjects1 no geiger counter
17:38 mashpriborintorg you may get something like 20-50 times the usual background level
17:38 Seroster Breed some mice in your basement and see if some of them develop ten eyes or something
17:38 mashpriborintorg a little dosimeter is enough
17:39 mashpriborintorg I am under 0,10 µSv per hour here
17:39 mashpriborintorg I need to replace the batteries tho
18:20 Electricguy i just trashpicked a Landis & gyr Sigmagyr RVL46
18:20 Electricguy no idea what it is.. XD
18:21 Electricguy supposedly some heating system timer
18:21 mashpriborintorg must be great quality stuff
18:22 Electricguy yeah
18:22 SparkyProjects1 Ah yes, i worked on one of those, it's a heating/cooling controller that has an offset for weather
18:22 Electricguy ah neat
18:22 Electricguy NO IDEA what i'm gonna use it for. lol
18:23 Electricguy do i open it with the big screw in the middle?
18:24 SparkyProjects1 You usually have an internal and external sensor, if it's warm outside in the morning, it delays the switch on time so you're not burning fuel to get the building up to temperature
18:24 Electricguy hmm.. that pops out and gives a handle like thing
18:24 SparkyProjects1 (cold days take longer to heat a building in time for occupancy)
18:25 Electricguy oh cool
18:25 SparkyProjects1 Yeah, big screw lets you pull out the module
18:26 eg_lappy i can stream a teardown :P
18:28 eg_lappy www.ustream.tv/channel/electricguy
18:28 eg_lappy there you go :)
18:36 mashpriborintorg ad, 30 seconds shit
18:36 SparkyProjects1 The little up/down leds are for showing what the valve is doing, normally a 0-10v or 0-20ma signal
18:37 mashpriborintorg do not take it apart, no user serviceable parts inside :p
18:39 mashpriborintorg seems to be fairly modern stuff
18:39 SparkyProjects1 You can change the timer for different types, including a digital version
18:40 SparkyProjects1 normally 24vac supply
18:41 SparkyProjects1 That's the up/down leds
18:42 mashpriborintorg the wire wound pots must me stronger then carbon track ones
18:42 SparkyProjects1 yeah, wirewound for resilience, carbon gets dirty
