00:07 tonsofpcs other chat is overrated.
00:07 tonsofpcs (and far away)
00:12 HighMan Yep.
00:18 Monkeh masterofmonks: Well honestly I don't know if it's starting or not.
00:18 Monkeh You cannot hear the compressor over the fans
00:18 Monkeh So I'm going to start the compressor manually tomorrow and see if it's alive or not
00:18 masterofmonks Monkeh, is it a central unit or a window unit?
00:18 Monkeh All I know is A: The compressor gets really, really hot
00:18 Monkeh And B: It does not make cold.
00:18 Monkeh masterofmonks: Portable.
00:19 Monkeh Run cap checks out
00:19 masterofmonks Disconnect the fans?
00:19 Monkeh masterofmonks: In all its ugly glory in my cupboard of heat production: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-6F4YUfvs8UU/UBRl07w7ppI/AAAAAAAAA7o/ajtS-38F3lE/s720/S8000109.JPG
00:20 Monkeh masterofmonks: It's safer to manually connect the compressor than try and hook up the entire unit with the panels off.
00:21 masterofmonks Monkeh, Sure.
00:22 Monkeh If the compressor runs and it doesn't make cold I'm guessing it needs checking for leaks and regassing?
00:23 Monkeh And I agree, if the compressor won't start and I can't free it, it's being scrapped. It is not worth (nor is it fast enough) obtaining a replacement compressor for this thing.
00:23 masterofmonks Well yes, but until you regas how are you going to check for leaks?
00:23 Monkeh Well, valid point
00:23 Monkeh And hey, if I scrap it I get stepper motors, giant AC fans, big angry relays, motor start caps..
00:24 masterofmonks And a nice bit of aluminum and copper.
00:24 Monkeh That will be turned in as scrap for whatever I can get for it
00:24 Monkeh I'm making a fair guess at this being the fill point: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-HYgbgGxta04/UBRqa6znxQI/AAAAAAAAA8M/6E7sawMUJpo/s912/IMG_20120728_233813.jpg
00:24 Monkeh And as such, no handy fill valve.
00:24 masterofmonks You need a pigtail.
00:25 Monkeh Please describe.
00:26 Monkeh But I'm guessing you're on about a self-cutting valve?
00:26 Thermoelectric Vampire tap!
00:32 masterofmonks It's basically a valve that taps into the refegerant line and allows for future recharging.
00:32 Monkeh So yeah, self-cutting valve
00:50 tonsofpcs thicknet?

01:08 tonsofpcs whoops, stuck in scrollback
01:08 HighMan see lwq1996?
01:09 * lwq1996 slaps hyman
01:14 masterofmonks tonsofpcs, as someone whose job it is to find pressure leaks, soapy water solution is definately not the thing.
01:15 HighMan If it's a gas leak. Get that lighter.
01:15 masterofmonks HighMan, refrigerant.
01:15 HighMan :P
01:19 Monkeh I'm going to agree with masterofmonks there.
01:20 Monkeh As for HighMan, you don't like your eyebrows or your life, do you?
01:20 HighMan I was kidding monkeh :P
01:40 Seroster_ yo SparkyProjects?
01:40 SparkyProjects ?
01:40 Seroster_ Fifteen euros for an infrared thermometer -32c to +380c, think it's garbage coming from ebay?
01:41 HighMan Seroster_, UltraDex is real, they changed the name since the 5th of this month or last motnh I think
01:41 Seroster_ LOL
01:41 Seroster_ Ithought that idiocy was a freak occurance
01:42 SparkyProjects Sounds ok, but i wouldn't trust accuracy

01:51 Seroster I hate it when I hit enter before being done typing
02:05 Monkeh Problem with cheap infrared thermometers is targetting, not temperature accuracy
02:06 Monkeh They're damn hard to aim properly, have a huge coverage area at any distance, and the lasers are almost always high.
02:34 tonsofpcs masterofmonks: IR camera?
02:34 masterofmonks tonsofpcs, For leak testing?
02:34 tonsofpcs other fancy scientific methods taht you'd share for those of us who don't hunt for pressure leaks on a daily basis but need to every once in a while?
02:34 tonsofpcs yea.
02:35 * tonsofpcs might be hunting pressure leaks early next week
02:35 masterofmonks pressurize and submerge under water.
02:35 tonsofpcs right.  That's not possible when you're testing a system that's a few hundred feet long/tall.
02:35 masterofmonks If that isn't possible a very very thin solution of detergent in water is about 80% as good.
02:37 masterofmonks But that is for pressure testing, I don't do Xray, or UV dye gas testing.

02:38 HighMan This might be a dumb question... But with enough pressure isn't the tank going to hiss?
02:38 masterofmonks Hello Tab, otherwise known as Tim.
02:38 tonsofpcs from what I can surmise from news reports, the center of the tornadic touchdown was ~1 mile from one of our transmission facilities.  We use dehydrated air and/or nitrogen as a dielectric at >1atm in order to keep water out of the line.
02:38 masterofmonks HighMan, No.
02:39 masterofmonks You are talking about very very small leaks.
02:39 tonsofpcs This site is currently set up with Nitrogen but if there's a leak I'm going to be putting a dehydrator on full tilt and trying to find the leak.
02:39 masterofmonks At the pressure that would cause them to hiss, you are going to rupture the pressure vessel.
02:40 tonsofpcs my system actually has a pressure release that you'd be able to hear... if you were to get next to it... at about 300' up and in a high RF field, unless we shut off (which is what we'd be avoiding)...
02:41 Toastdude joined ##thegeekgroup
02:41 tonsofpcs (it's not really a valve, simply a 'seal' that is only rated up to a certain pressure that will act as a relief valve so long as you're not too far above that pressure)
02:41 tonsofpcs (too far above and you break it, of course)
02:42 masterofmonks Ok, so for your puropses then a soapy solution would be the thing. But don't think you can just spray it on there. You want to basically coat the surface with as smooth a flow as possible.
02:42 masterofmonks It's really a pain in the ass to be honest with you.
02:43 masterofmonks But for some of my larger tanks I have to do it, because we don't have a submersion vat large enough for them.
02:43 masterofmonks Though the liklihood of one of them leaking is very very low to begin with.
02:44 tonsofpcs oh, yea, I know it's a pain.  Used to do it for soccer balls on the field...  It's even more of a pain when you have to go up a 10' ladder and move a pipe into and out of a a building to apply the solution...

09:30 Electricguy most likely a dead PSU
09:30 Electricguy recap it :P
09:31 Electricguy eyy you got your hair cut too :P
09:32 Electricguy what model is it?
09:32 Electricguy try googling for the problem and see if there is a solution for it
09:33 Electricguy Absolute Hemladdat! XD
09:36 Experimentonomen im gonna go for a haircut later today
09:36 Electricguy ah oki
09:36 Electricguy looked shorter than it was at a first glance :P
09:37 Experimentonomen its a TEAC CD-P3000
09:38 Electricguy can't find anything about glitching or playback problems
09:38 Electricguy hmmm
09:39 Electricguy start by recapping the PSU perhaps
09:39 Electricguy seems to be an old player.. so the chance of dry caps is pretty big
09:39 Experimentonomen well it was only 55SEK, u know the saying, u get what u pay for
09:39 Electricguy lol yeah
09:39 Electricguy but it's worth trying to fix it :P
09:40 Experimentonomen this thing jumps and skips like crazy for like nothing while my other cd players have no prollems at all
09:41 Electricguy have you checked for dirt inside?
09:41 Experimentonomen nope
09:41 Electricguy oki
09:41 Electricguy do that.. :P
09:42 Electricguy there might be dirt that prevents the lens from focusing properly
09:45 Electricguy as the focal point seems to differ between CDs it might be why it plays some CDs and some not
09:48 Experimentonomen its actually almost spotless inside
09:48 electricguy__ huh ok
09:48 electricguy__ try recapping then
09:49 Experimentonomen if it was caps, it wouldent work at all
09:49 electricguyLab true
09:49 electricguyLab hmmm
09:49 electricguyLab worn down mechanics then perhaps
09:49 Experimentonomen at first when i listed the lid, it dident wanna read the katzy cd at all
09:50 electricguyLab drying lube maybe
09:57 Experimentonomen maybe i cooked it whan i had it on top of the amp the other day
10:07 Experimentonomen hm it doesent seem to have much problem with a cd that after a hour on pause in an old cd player looks like its started to delaminate in places
10:08 Experimentonomen a cd that one of my other players wants nothing to do with
10:17 electricguyLab hehe okey
10:18 Experimentonomen talk about inconsistent
10:22 * electricguyLab tries out a 2N3716 on his class A
10:25 electricguyLab can't be worse than the BUZ14 at least lol
10:25 electricguyLab that FET is NOT good for audio amps
10:30 Experimentonomen did it sound like crap ?
10:38 electricguyLab yepp
10:38 electricguyLab no bass at all
10:38 electricguyLab just disted treble and high mids
10:38 Experimentonomen hm
10:39 electricguyLab the BUZ14 are made for switching applications though
10:39 Experimentonomen as are most if not all vertical mosfets
10:39 Experimentonomen only the lateral ones were made for linear
10:40 electricguyLab yeah
10:40 electricguyLab but the BUZ14 is an EXTREMELY bad example :P
10:40 Experimentonomen there were szome igbts made for audio but they flopped due to the parasitic SCR that would cause them to latch on at high current throughput
10:42 electricguyLab hehe ok
10:43 electricguyLab ok the amp works with the 2N3716
10:43 electricguyLab now lets hook up some real speakers :P
10:44 Experimentonomen *BOOM**BOOM**BOOM**BOOM* ;)
10:45 electricguyLab hehe
10:45 electricguyLab it sounds sharper than the BD249C
10:45 electricguyLab and plays louder
10:46 electricguyLab or, not that much louder
10:46 electricguyLab but more bottom grunt
10:47 Experimentonomen now build the BIG one ;)
10:47 electricguyLab lol yeh
10:49 Electricguy now lets see.. this little one pulls 4.5A at 30V..
10:49 Electricguy thats 13.5A total for each channel on the big amp
10:49 Electricguy 27A in total for both channels
10:49 Experimentonomen yup
10:50 Electricguy 810Watts waste heat :P
10:50 Electricguy and perhaps around 50-60Watts per channel out
10:50 Electricguy i need a bigger trafo.. :P
10:50 * Experimentonomen looks at his 1500VA donut
10:50 Electricguy my biggest one only goves around 25A on 24V
10:51 Experimentonomen u'll need a HUUUUUUUUUGE capacitor bank!
10:52 Electricguy thats no problem.. :P
10:52 Electricguy i have already need offered a ICAkasse full of 40V 100mF RIFA caps :P
10:52 Experimentonomen hm
10:54 * Electricguy rattles windows with his class A

10:57 * Experimentonomen listens to some cd he bought on coop
11:01 Electricguy just realized that 90's music can be played about twice as loud :P
11:01 Electricguy due to less subsonic bass
11:01 Experimentonomen hm
11:02 Experimentonomen add a subsonic filter ;)
11:02 Electricguy have thought of that :P
11:06 electricguyLab gonna recap that goldstar amp module
11:07 electricguyLab that surprisingly sounds pretty darn good :P
11:07 Experimentonomen hm
11:11 electricguyLab it's funny how much smaller new caps are :P
11:13 electricguyLab old chemicon caps
11:17 Experimentonomen yeh

11:18 Experimentonomen and better electrolytes

11:31 electricguyLab clearer sound than before
11:31 electricguyLab the old caps must have been dry and gunky
11:31 electricguyLab about 15Watt per channel
11:35 Experimentonomen oki

17:02 Lt_Lemming yeah, but if you read the paragraph below it, it's really contradictory to the heading
17:04 Lt_Lemming "Adopts a principled approach and adheres to the public service values and code of conduct. Acts professionally at all times and operates within the boundaries of organisational processes and legal and public policy constraints"
17:04 SparkyProjects You act professionally within the froup, you operate within the boundaries, you are a resposible person that you don't allow harm to the public
17:04 SparkyProjects *group
17:05 SparkyProjects What they want to hear is that you will ensure you follow their guidelines so they don't get sued
17:06 Lt_Lemming heh
17:06 SparkyProjects A similar wording for most jobs in the uk is that you adhere to health and safety
17:07 * Experimentonomen pays some bills
17:08 Damianz Most health and safety is a load of BS
17:09 Lt_Lemming Damianz, a lot of is overkill, but there is somethings I will NOT play with
17:09 SparkyProjects no, most health and safety is common sense
17:09 SparkyProjects It's the ones who have to ensure they follow it that are anal
17:09 Lt_Lemming like one recently where one of the hackerspace guys had filed down the earth pin on a 15A plug so it would fit into a 10A socket...
17:09 Lt_Lemming that one I draw the line at
17:09 Damianz The fact that they have to make a policy of common sense makes it BS :)
17:10 Lt_Lemming common sense, is not common
17:10 SparkyProjects yep, that's common sense
17:12 SparkyProjects Our h&s only states that anything you do should have a little more thought to it before doing it
17:12 SparkyProjects As far as they are concerned, it's ok for you to jump off a cliff without harnesses or parachute etc, providing that you believe it is the safest way to do it, and you leave a paper trail showing that you have thought about it
17:12 Lt_Lemming ours tends to be a bit OTT at times, but most of the time it's reasonable
17:13 Damianz I'd jump off a cliff without a harness or parachute if you gave me a wing suite :P
17:13 Lt_Lemming so would I, only if there was a massive foam pit or something for me to land in
17:14 SparkyProjects Managers etc in the uk are the ones that go ott, mainly because they haven't actually read it or understood it, and are frightened of lawsuits
17:14 Lt_Lemming wing suits only slow you to about 120KMh, still more than enough to kill you
17:14 SparkyProjects It's one reason i left my last job.
17:15 Damianz Oh yeah, it would hurt if you hit the ground but I'd still risk that over not a wing suite :P
17:16 Lt_Lemming Damianz, Wing suit means probably crippled beyond repair for life, if not brain damaged as well, but still alive. No wingsuit pretty much means instant death. If those were my only two choices I'd probably choose no wingsuit
17:17 Damianz That would be no fun for the last 30 seconds of your meaningless life
17:17 Lt_Lemming hitting the ground at 120KMh vertical speed does not sound very survivable anyway, but if you do survive chances are you won't be doing much for the rest of your life
17:19 Damianz Out of the two choices I think h&s would agree mines safer? :D
17:19 Lt_Lemming for sure
17:20 Lt_Lemming I've already lost one of my favourite pastimes, if I was unable to ride my bike, or even leave the house unassisted I would go stir crazy pretty damned quickly
17:20 Lt_Lemming In fact, I know I do. When I spent three months in a wheelchair I was going spare real fast not being able to just go out and have fun whenver I felt like it.
17:20 Damianz There must be a limit on the amount of crazy you can be, sometimes feels like you get to push the limits on crazyness though

18:01 Electricguy just put an old capacitor on the output of my class A.. just as a test
18:01 Electricguy damn it's a noisy cap!
18:01 Electricguy sounds fuzzy and dists the treble
18:03 Experimentonomen hm
18:06 Experimentonomen i used some old 10000µF 25V caps from a function generator 25V 1A output module with the amp ic missing on my class A utput
18:10 Electricguy lol oki
18:11 Electricguy this cap is pretty fun.. it even says the current throughput at 100Hz
18:11 Electricguy and it's 17A
18:11 Experimentonomen hm
18:11 Electricguy it sounds like crap though
18:12 Experimentonomen in stuff like pass amps they parallel film caps across the lytic
18:12 Electricguy huh ok
18:12 Electricguy gonna try that
18:12 Electricguy what value approx?
18:12 Experimentonomen a few µF
18:13 Experimentonomen fyi i have a 50µF film cap :P
18:13 Electricguy mkay
18:13 Electricguy LOL :P
18:13 Electricguy that HV cap eh? :P
18:13 Experimentonomen its only arounfdd 60-80V though
18:13 Electricguy oh ok :P
18:13 Electricguy cool :P
18:13 Experimentonomen from a 48V 73A psu
18:13 Electricguy well, it's actually not a bad idea to parallel smaller caps..
18:14 Electricguy cause they handle high frequencies better
18:18 electricguyLab i also put a inductor in series with the output
18:18 electricguyLab perhaps thats a bad idea
18:19 electricguyLab only like 7 turns. really thick Litz wire inductor
18:19 electricguyLab ok, it's 5 turns
18:19 Experimentonomen i avoid nthose inductors even though their said to help an amp cope with overly capacitive loads
18:20 electricguyLab mkay
18:20 electricguyLab well, this is a test amp.. so i'm just plying around :P
18:21 electricguyLab putting some film caps arcross the big elyt
18:21 Experimentonomen amps that rely on a inductor to stay stable with capacitive loads and/or needs the zobel link to stay stable with no load are just bad designs to begin with
18:22 electricguyLab or just overegineered :P
18:23 * Experimentonomen wonders wut to have fer dinnah
18:25 electricguyLab nope it still dists
18:25 electricguyLab this cap really isn't good for this.. lol
18:26 electricguyLab too bad though.. it's a nice cap
18:26 electricguyLab 33mF is a big overkill though..
18:29 Experimentonomen maybe its leaky, putting dc into the speaker
18:29 electricguyLab perhaps
18:30 Experimentonomen or its lossy, causing the amp to clip and still not sound as loud as with a fresh cap
18:31 electricguyLab nah it plays loud and all that.. but it dists
18:31 Experimentonomen hm
18:31 Experimentonomen odd
18:32 electricguyLab yeah
18:32 electricguyLab it's old though
18:35 electricguyLab gonna try with 5 caps in parallel
18:43 Electricguy hm
18:43 Electricguy still dists
18:43 Electricguy i wonder if it's the inductor that does it...
18:46 Experimentonomen dunno

19:04 wannabe1987 ahhhh
19:06 electricguyLab Experimentonomen, fun fact: it was the inductor that made the treble dist
19:06 electricguyLab strange
19:06 electricguyLab gonna try with the big nice cap again
19:10 electricguyLab now lets see :P
19:11 Experimentonomen oki
19:13 Electricguy lol. i can play much louder with this output cap
19:13 Electricguy without clipping
19:13 Electricguy the old caps must have been choking it
19:14 Experimentonomen how big were the old caps
19:14 Experimentonomen ?
19:15 Electricguy 2200µF a piece. 2 in parallel
19:15 Experimentonomen oki
19:15 Electricguy very strange.. cause (this is no real mesurement) but with the old caps i could go up to about -12dB on the ipod before lipping
19:16 Electricguy now i can crank it all the way to -2dB
19:16 Electricguy this big nice cap is 33mF
19:16 Electricguy and big enough to be a 200mF cap with modern measurements :P
19:17 Electricguy it got pretty dang big terminals though
19:17 Experimentonomen ;p
19:17 Electricguy so it seems like it's some sort of low ESR cap
19:17 Electricguy still very strange that the inductor disted the treble.. hmmm
19:18 Electricguy must have been oscillating or something
19:18 Experimentonomen it may not have been distortion, but rather crossover effects, making it sound distorted
19:18 Electricguy possibly
19:18 Experimentonomen a series inductor is basically a lowpass filter
19:19 Electricguy yeah
19:19 Electricguy but this is only 5 turns.. :P
19:19 Electricguy and REALLY thick wire
19:19 Electricguy it's the series inductor from a big ass SMPS
19:19 Experimentonomen well it could have been the core material that did weird things
19:19 Electricguy the Litz wire may have some weird effect too
19:20 Experimentonomen as its meant to pass DC
19:20 Electricguy yeah
19:20 Electricguy oh well, it was only a test.. :P
19:20 Electricguy and it failed XD
19:20 Electricguy also, putting a big radial fan in the window lowers the room temp with 4C.. XD
19:20 Electricguy from damn hot 24C to 20C :3
19:21 Experimentonomen i remember when i used the inductor from a atx psu, the yellow and white one in the output of a class D amp, the amp acted weird and the inductor ran smoking hot
19:21 Electricguy oof
19:21 Electricguy totally NOT the right core material :P
19:21 Experimentonomen ya
19:21 Experimentonomen type 26 material from micrometals
19:23 Monkeh Electricguy: ESR.
19:24 Electricguy yes?
19:24 Monkeh It's important to measure ESR with caps :P
19:24 Electricguy low ESR caps got less internal resistance
19:24 Monkeh .. I know what ESR is.
19:24 Electricguy so with a low ESR cap i can pass more current to the speakers..
19:27 Experimentonomen btw Electricguy, gotten sick of KSP yet ? ;p
19:27 Electricguy a little XD
19:27 Electricguy i've done pretty much all there is to do :P
19:29 electricguyLab gonna put a Amp meter in series with the speakers.. :P
19:29 electricguyLab just for the hell of it
19:29 Experimentonomen oki
19:33 electricguyLab major flaw..
19:33 electricguyLab used a damn DC METER! -,-
19:33 electricguyLab it's AC you stupid fucktard
19:34 electricguyLab what did i think with

21:15 Electricguy i have put a big funnel and stuff on the intake to minimize turbulence too XD
21:16 einball well here in switzerland we have got a heater that sucks the entropy out of the air
21:16 einball better than a air condition
21:16 einball *an

23:10 tonsofpcs bah, grr @ xchat
23:10 tonsofpcs you want "LastPass for Firefox (i386 & x64)" most likely
23:10 tonsofpcs use that one, it'll yell if it's wrong.
23:10 tonsofpcs (unless you're not using firefox, then you don't)
23:10 wannabe1987 thanks.  still trying to figure out xchat.  not the same as my mIRC
23:11 wannabe1987 i have ff
23:11 tonsofpcs xchat annoys me.
23:12 wannabe1987 its all i could find to work.  hasa few things that royally bother me....bu
23:12 wannabe1987 but i'll deal for now
23:13 JA12 let me guess. you want channels and windows on top as tabs instead of tree?
23:13 * tonsofpcs was very happy migrating from mIRC to irssi in screen
23:13 wannabe1987 i don't have a tree
23:13 wannabe1987 i fixed that
23:13 tonsofpcs had a learning curve, but it's not annoying to use.
23:14 wannabe1987 i don't like how the words I TYPE are grey and everyone elses are white

23:14 wannabe1987 i like it all on a black background, so it makes my words hard to read

23:17 tonsofpcs http://www.pthree.org/wp-content/uploads/2007/03/irssi_notify.png < how my irssi works (the user in this picture is atoponce)
23:17 tonsofpcs (I have no clue what those popup things are from, they're not part of irssi)
23:17 wannabe1987 whats the fishie at the top?
23:17 wannabe1987 i want a fishie!!!!!!!!!!!!
23:17 tonsofpcs fishie?
23:18 wannabe1987 in his "start bar" to use windows terms
23:18 wannabe1987 dude.  dont mind me i'm tired/sleep
23:18 wannabe1987 y
23:18 tonsofpcs oh, no idea
23:18 wannabe1987 i'm still learning to make this system "me"
23:18 tonsofpcs probably some app
23:18 tonsofpcs some chat app maybe?
23:20 wannabe1987 probably
23:21 tonsofpcs firefox, mail reader, news reader, [fish], [Q+ -- I think this is the chinese input app], [msn chat?], gnome-terminal, rxvt, gedit, gimp, [security app], [security app], gcalc, synaptic
23:21 tonsofpcs is it a babelfish maybe?
23:21 wannabe1987 xcouldbe
23:26 splint What type of sensor would one use to control servos on the fins of a rocket?
23:26 splint Would a velocimeter be sensitive enough to notice a few degrees change in pitch?
23:28 tonsofpcs you don't use a sensor to control servos.
23:28 tonsofpcs (well, I suppose in some instances you could, but yuo generally don't)
23:28 splint Lol yes.  I meant to control the amount the servo is activated.
23:29 tonsofpcs you generally use sensors as input to a logic system that controls the servos
23:29 splint That's what i had in mind actually.
23:30 tonsofpcs well then, design your logic and you'll know what inputs you need.
23:31 wannabe1987 a wire just randomly fell out of the ceiling and is now dangling....
23:31 tonsofpcs for any motion, if enough processing is available, a 3axis accellerometer can generally tell you most anything you want... but that may not be the right answer for your situation
23:31 tonsofpcs wannabe1987: is steve pushing/pulling wires again?
23:31 wannabe1987 hes busy playing mienkraft/tekkit
23:32 wannabe1987 zozo's fault, steve's not here
23:32 tonsofpcs everything's zozo's fault, that's irrelevant :-p
23:32 wannabe1987 o trust me, i know
23:32 tonsofpcs (at least, until Cprossu is back)
23:32 wannabe1987 its probably his fault i'm secretary/receptionist....boden wanted someone from IT and zozo would have a hard time keeping interns up here, ESP when they don't come in daily like A/V ones do
23:33 splint tonsofpcs: would an arduino nano be enough?
23:33 wannabe1987 um it'll still be zozos fualt even if cpro is here
23:33 tonsofpcs wannabe1987: but  not everything is zozo's fault, there's some things that are Cprossu's fault
23:34 wannabe1987 true
23:34 tonsofpcs splint: no idea.  I was thinking of an arduino for a remote control system (and possible auto-landing) for a RC plane but I don't know if it'll react fast enough
23:35 splint tonsofpcs: Oh wow that sounds awesome.  I think it would really depend on how well you programmed it...
23:35 tonsofpcs I also was concerned about control transfer.
23:36 tonsofpcs there's the XBee stuff but it needs serialization before and deserialization after...
23:37 splint Sounds like a pain to deal with.
