03:06 whytheplatypus mgage__: heya, not sure when that was sent, but the falls were great!!
03:06 mgage___ not long ago -- they really are -- did you ride the boat?
03:26 whytheplatypus nope but we did go do the 'cave of the winds' thing
03:26 whytheplatypus so much fun
03:26 whytheplatypus ..and u get free shoes
03:26 mgage___ yep -- I think I still have mine somewhere --
03:27 whytheplatypus how'd the ww talk go?
03:28 mgage___ hasn't started yet -- I'm giving them a workshop tomorrow.  I went out to dinner -- they seem pretty nice -- I was pretty hyper since I was up until 2 last night squashing the libpng bug on my laptop.  I plan on running on adrenaline for the next few days.
03:29 mgage___ I think it was the install of the new Xcode that did it although there may have been other factors.
03:29 whytheplatypus sounds very exciting
03:29 mgage___ I'm going to introduce them to IRC so if you are on tomorrow we may drop in and say hi
03:29 whytheplatypus so did u install the app thing or was it the normal snow leopard install?
03:29 whytheplatypus cool
03:30 whytheplatypus i might be, but i'll be working on other stuff
03:30 mgage___ I downloaded the snow leopard install
03:30 mgage___ np -- no need to respond.
03:31 mgage___ I've found a bunch of other bugs while setting up courses for these folks this evening.  -- for some reason solutions don't always show up in new versions -- I suspect a little bug in Problem.pm
03:34 mgage___ I think I might change my mind about using branches for stable versions in github. -- even though you can use tags in the same way there is something nice to being able to switch back and forth between two or three versions of the software in about a minute.  (usually -- depends on the new configuration to some extent) It might make people less hesitant about experimenting with the new software and testing it out.
03:35 mgage___ what's up tomorrow? grading?
03:35 whytheplatypus yeah i think multiple branches is a good idea
03:35 whytheplatypus no research stuff
03:35 whytheplatypus gradings really light this term
03:36 mgage___ glad it's not heavy -- to bad you can't do "distance grading" I understand it's the latest thing in educational circles.
03:36 whytheplatypus i think i might be able to, gonna send some emails tomorrow
03:36 whytheplatypus but for now i'm headed to bed, talk to u guys later
