16:59 aubreyja Hi - back
17:00 mgage_ hi -- just checking in -- I'm trying to get Robin Cruz's problems solved
17:01 aubreyja I noticed your last reply - I'll have a look too - it's very strange

19:55 Paul_Pearson Jason: you lost your tail.
19:55 Paul_Pearson aubreyja_ is now known as aubreyja
19:56 Paul_Pearson But seriously, Jason, have we figured out the best git workflow for bug fixes to the OPL?

21:28 mgage_ hi
21:32 Paul_Pearson ?
21:33 Paul_Pearson Was that ping?
21:33 Paul_Pearson It came out as :)ing
21:33 mgage_ just saying hi -- back from my hci class
21:33 mgage_ I didn't put a space between your name and ping
21:34 Paul_Pearson Is there a good workflow for submitting bugfixes via git?
21:34 mgage_ about the OPL git workflow -- I think it is going to take a while to figure out a final version --- what jason put in his email seemed to me like a good compromise for now
21:35 mgage_ for webwork2 and pg I have a good idea for what I want to try for awhile -- until something better comes along
21:36 Paul_Pearson I'm not sure, but I don't think Jason copied me on that email.
21:36 Paul_Pearson If you have it, could you forward it?
21:36 mgage_ I'm also pretty sure that we eventually will want to use git for the OPL in order to support a scaled up bug fixing procedure with many people taking part and a much smaller number of editors who commit to the final version -- I don't think we can do that efficiently with svn
21:37 mgage_ yes -- I'll do that.  One thing that I think we should do very soon is to make you and John Jones committers on the OPL main site -- you two are doing most of the bug fixing -- so we don't need a big organization yet.
21:39 Paul_Pearson Sometimes I wonder if my bugfix count is positive or negative...
21:39 mgage_ if you don't have some negative points on your list it means you aren't doing anything
21:40 Paul_Pearson Or, maybe I'm just correcting some of my own mistakes :)
22:00 mgage_ ok -- found the email and forwarded it to you
22:05 Paul_Pearson Thanks.  Sign me up for bug fixing :)
22:06 Paul_Pearson Off to dinner :):)
