14:30 eee-blt hi
14:30 eee-blt is there a module to verify questions?
14:31 eee-blt what i want is a simple module that tests various good/bad answers
14:32 eee-blt to ensure the questions are being graded the way i intend
14:46 mgage probably not something quite as simple to use as you'd wish -- but the client editor allows you to batch test questions in the library.  The same code used in the client editor can be run from the command line to batch test questions:  http://webwork.maa.org/wiki/Client_Editor  -- see the README in webwork2/clients for more details.  there is also more detail in this thread http://webwork.maa.org/moodle/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=2792 and
14:46 mgage elsewhere on the forums
15:25 eee-blt thanks for the references

18:23 eee-blt hi, i am seeing Formula("e^(x^2)")->D() produce 2x e^(x^2) ln(e)
18:23 eee-blt how do i force the reduction of ln(e)?
18:40 aubreyja eee-bit: you might try ->D()->reduce.  Turning ln(e) into 1 isn't an explicit parser reduction rule, but 1*x=x*1=x is, so maybe it will work (or maybe it won't)

19:31 eee-blt aubreyja: i did try the reduce method, but that does not do it

22:56 mgage eee-blt: take a look at http://webwork.maa.org/wiki/FormattingCorrectAnswers:_NumbersAndFormulas   in particular the flag reduceConstants
22:56 mgage and reduceConstantFunctions
22:56 mgage use PGLabs for experiments
