19:12 ionparticle hi all, what's the best practice for checking an answer with series?
19:14 ionparticle a student stumbled onto a weird behaviour where if you are missing or have extra terms in a Taylor series, it can change from "incorrect" to "correct" if you submit the answer enough times
19:30 Paul_Pearson I would recommend setting the numerical tolerances smaller.

19:32 ionparticle what does tolerance default to?
19:39 Paul_Pearson I think the defaults are 'relative' and '0.01' percent of the size of the correct answer.
19:39 Paul_Pearson (But, I could be off...)
19:42 ionparticle thanks :)
19:42 ionparticle it's fixed with a lower tolerance
