16:32 mgage_ 'morning
17:21 aubreyja Hi mgage_:
17:23 mgage_ hi
17:25 mgage_ aubreyja:hi
17:25 aubreyja I don't know if people will want to use transfex, but it looks pretty nice to me.  I've got a korean student who I'm going to have translate into korean and I'll have her use this
17:28 mgage_ I've signed in -- declared myself open source
17:29 mgage_ my user name is gage
17:31 mgage_ this looks like a nice way to keep track of which pot files need translating  -- we'll still need tools for pulling new strings in the code into the .pot files
17:31 aubreyja mgage?
17:32 mgage_ username on transfix is gage
17:32 aubreyja k - I've added you as a maintainer
17:33 mgage_ I'm not seeing my name yet at https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/webwork/
17:33 aubreyja http://help.transifex.com/features/client/index.html#user-client
17:34 aubreyja I forgot to click 'save project' should be there now
17:34 mgage_ yep
17:35 mgage_ ok -- got to take a break for a bit -- but this looks promising -- should make the job of managing translations easier at any rate
17:35 mgage_ afk -- out walking the dog

19:23 Paul__ Hi Mike and Jason.
19:24 Paul__ Restarting the Apache webserver on the test.maa.org server did not fix the slowness.
19:25 Paul__ I think that problems are rendered reasonably fast for the students.
19:25 Paul__ However, professors using the Library Browser (I'm using the original version) have complained about how slow it is.
19:26 Paul__ For instance, after selecting a few problems and clicking update set, it can take a long time for the server to execute the update set command and reload the Library Browser page.
19:27 Paul__ That's all.
19:27 Paul__ I hope that you're having a good weekend!
20:15 mgage_ Paul___: I did some tinkering -- see if it works now
20:18 Paul__ My students just emailed me that webwork is "freaking out".  I'll forward their email.
20:18 mgage_ that was probably me resetting the server -- it should done now
20:20 Paul__ OK.  I'll try acting as the students to see how it works.

20:24 mgage_ hi Rob
20:24 rbeezer hi mike, just back fro South Africa
20:25 mgage_ Hope it was great.  I thought you got back a week ago, but maybe I misunderstood.
20:26 rbeezer Classes here started a week ago  ;-)
20:26 rbeezer Gotta scramble right now to be ready for Monday, some WW setup on tap for this PM
20:26 mgage_ kk -- I'll be around
20:27 rbeezer thanks!  And yes, SA was a great trip again - I'll need to introduce WW at AIMS more thoroughly
20:27 mgage_ right -- need any help :-)
20:27 rbeezer Tom Denton and Bruce Stern were lecturing at the same time, they seem to be big users of WW in Kenya right now
20:28 mgage_ yes -- I've been talking to Tom Denton -- I'm not sure I know Bruce
20:30 rbeezer We should discuss AIMS sometime - but right now I have a month's worth of bills, unpacking, laundry.  And classes!
20:30 rbeezer sorry, David Stern, just mildly jet-lagged: See http://kenya.africanmathsinitiative.net/
21:17 rbeezer mgage: ttyl, headed into campus
21:17 mgage_ k -- have fun -- and welcome back
21:17 mgage_ ttyl
