16:01 mgage aubreyja: hi
16:05 aubreyja hi
16:06 mgage hi -- I was just rereading Joe Morse's letter from February 7 -- prompted by the inquiry from Bill Hessert which I just forwarded to you.
16:07 mgage they made a proposal for writing middle school/ high school problems over the summer -- I haven't done anything with it -- have you or JT?
16:13 aubreyja no, I don't' think so, Michael Pearson wrote back to encourage them, but I don't think it's gone anywhere
16:14 aubreyja the Irish guy from KC - gavin waters - he was interested in this too - maybe we could get him to lead it...
16:16 mgage That's an idea.  JT has been keeping track of our financial assets -- I think we should find out a way to help them get a lot of high school problems written over the summer.  -- if we can't find it elsewhere maybe we can kick in at least some support

18:08 aubreyja mgage: hi - back
18:08 mgage hi
18:10 mgage would you have some time to help trouble shoot some of the java and flash applets -- being delivered from hosted2 (where they mostly work) and from testcourses.webwork (where at least some of them don't)  -- not sure why yet -- could be firewall issues
18:10 mgage there are a lot of issues with caching -- so for example I've gotten false successes because I already had a copy of the java applet cached  -- so it will help to have several people trying this
18:11 aubreyja yep - just a sec
18:11 mgage an efficient way to do it is to look at the gage_test course on hosted2 and also on testcourses
18:12 mgage the "test Find Applets" homework set should give you lots of examples (if you are not a professor let me know and I'll make you one)
18:14 aubreyja ok, back
18:15 aubreyja gage_course on testcourses?
18:15 mgage no gage_test on testcourses
18:16 mgage (gage_course and gage_demo are also useful as unit tests)
18:16 aubreyja ok, I don't think I have a login and can't see any hw assignments as guest
18:16 mgage kk
18:16 aubreyja google hangout?
18:18 mgage sure -- in about 5 minutes?
18:18 mgage you are aubreyja   on testcourses    gage_test
18:18 aubreyja sure, I'll invite you - just jump in when you can
18:18 aubreyja which user name?
