19:35 mgage aubreyja: hi
19:35 aubreyja Hi - how's it going?
19:36 mgage working with trying to get WeBWorK_Vagrant current
19:36 mgage is your ww_install script supposed to work with the -ni or —no-interactive switch?
19:36 aubreyja ah, going ok?
19:36 mgage it doesn’t seem to be
19:37 aubreyja I haven't implemented that yet - just put in the hooks for it.
19:37 mgage I have the “packaged” version running — although it is using old install scripts and expect dancer isn’t properly supported
19:37 mgage ahh — ok — I’ll have to figure out how david doctored the earlier install script to make it work — ty
19:38 aubreyja Actually, all it should amount too is passing that flag to Term::UI in ww_install.pl
19:38 aubreyja Actually, I see now I have that done in a local branch, but haven't pushed it since I never got around to testing that it actually works as expected.
19:39 aubreyja But, I do expect that to work - no reason it shouldn't.
19:39 mgage might be what he did.  now I know that I have to compare his modifications to ww_install.pl with the new version you’ve created
19:39 aubreyja I think my ww_install.pl is pretty far from where it was when he was using it.  Just a sec I'll have a look too
19:40 mgage I’m also trying to get WeBWorK_Vagrant to work on a windows client with a student — that’s a bit of pain mainly because I don’t know where the tools are on windows.
19:40 mgage I think so also — thats why I want to update Webwork_Vagrant with your install script.
19:42 aubreyja So, $Term::UI::AUTOREPLY = 1 is what needs to get set for --no-interactive
19:43 mgage kk — where is that set? from the command line?
19:46 aubreyja ok, looks like the version up on github doesn't have the GetOpt::Long set up yet.
19:47 aubreyja So, what's supposed to happen is that --no-interactive given to install_webwork.sh is passed to ww_install.pl, where GetOpt::Long sees it and sets a boolean $interactive variable.
19:48 mgage ok — I can wait a bit until the script runs in a no-interactive mode. meantime I’ll learn how to build a vagrant package where the script has been run by hand.
19:48 mgage I’m off to work on the windows client problem for a little bit.
19:49 aubreyja I can get that working this afternoon.  I'll let you know when I push it. I'm writing a recommendation letter right now, but I'll get it working after that
19:49 aubreyja it should be easy....
19:49 mgage they always say that.
19:49 aubreyja :)
19:50 mgage no hurry — David and his girlfriend Corinne are coming up from Baltimore this weekend so I won’t get much done until Sunday
19:50 mgage shoot me an emial when things are ready and I’ll test them
