20:24 Brad__ Hi There, I have two problems. The simple one first: I can't seem to create an account on the WeBWorK forum. It keeps giving me an error "Incorrect or missing confirmation code". Now, I am really tired (we'll get to that with problem 2), but I'm pretty sure I'm getting the Math Capcha right. Any ideas?
20:24 goehle I dont admin the forums, so I'm afraid I can't help.
20:24 goehle aubreyja might be able to help
20:24 goehle or you could try to email
20:25 Brad__ Thanks, I'll give that a try.
20:25 goehle gage@math.rochester.edu
20:25 goehle sorry took a sec to look up the address
20:27 Brad__ My second problem is that I upgraded my WeBWorK instance to 2.10 last night. After fighting with perl permissions for several hours I finally got everything working. Except for the following: In the Course Management, under "Upgrade Courses" I get "  admin sql_single Database tables need updating." Also, even though I have updated the OPL (and run OPL-update) I get the message "There are upgrades available for the Open Problem Lib
20:28 Brad__ Finally, in course administration, I also have a large red box saying "Argument "" isn't numeric in numeric gt (>) at /opt/webwork/webwork2/lib/WeBWorK/ContentGenerator/CourseAdmin.pm line 3393."
20:29 Brad__ I'm guessing it has something to do with the check that OPL is updated. In the apache logs I see "fatal: No such ref: HEAD fatal: Failed to resolve HEAD as a valid ref. fatal: bad default revision 'HEAD'" so I'm guessing that it is somehow a Git problem.
20:29 goehle yeah
20:29 goehle I was just looking at that
20:29 goehle I would disable the upgrade notification system for the OPL
20:30 goehle in your local overrides conf file
20:30 Brad__ No problem. That's easy to do
20:30 goehle change the repository and branch strings to be empty
20:30 Brad__ Just wanted to make sure there wasn't something else messed up.
20:30 goehle no
20:30 goehle the git integration isn't as universal as it could be
20:30 goehle there are a lot of local things that can make git fail when being run as apache
20:31 Brad__ OK. I appreciate the help. Everything else seems to be running fine, I just wanted to make sure that there would be no surprises when something else doesn't work.
20:31 Brad__ Thanks
20:32 goehle nice
20:32 goehle yeah it should be localized to the update notifier
20:32 goehle there are also problems with it not working after a couple of days, which haven't been tracked down
20:32 goehle just fyi
20:32 goehle it won't affect anything else though
20:33 Brad__ OK. If the update notifier for WeBWorK and PG stop working I'll just disable them too.
20:33 goehle there is a variable to disable the whole system if you do that
20:34 Brad__ I see it. Thanks so much for being willing to help out. It really makes this whole thing a little less intimidating.
20:34 goehle no problem
20:34 goehle I hope things work well for you
20:35 Brad__ Thanks again. See you around.
